How to Use Midjourney to Create Amazing AI Art

Midjourney is an innovative artificial intelligence program that can generate stunning images from textual descriptions. Whether you want to create fantasy landscapes, surreal portraits, or abstract art, Midjourney can help you unleash your imagination and express your creativity. I have been having a lot of fun learning how to use this powerful tool, and here are some great tips that have helped me as I learn how to master the basics of Midjourney.

In this blog post, I will show you how to use Midjourney to create your own AI art in a few simple steps. You don't need any artistic skills or experience, just a Discord account, and an internet connection.

Step 1: Join the Midjourney Discord Server

The first step is to join the Midjourney Discord server, where you can interact with the AI and other users. Discord is a free chat platform that you can use on your browser or download as an app on your device.

To join the Midjourney Discord server, go to https://www.midjourney.com/ and click on "Join the Beta". Alternatively, you can go directly to https://discord.com/invite/midjourney and accept the invitation.

Once you join the server, you will see a welcome message and some rules that you need to follow. Make sure to read them carefully and respect them at all times.

Step 2: Go to a Newbie Channel

The next step is to go to a newbie channel, where you can start generating images with the AI. You can find these channels in the left sidebar of the Discord app. They are named "newbies-#" and have a green icon.

Newbie channels are recommended for casual users who want to get familiar with the AI generation process. They have some limitations on how many images you can generate per day and how complex your prompts can be. However, they are also more forgiving if you make mistakes or use vague descriptions.

Step 3: Use the /imagine Command

The third step is to use the /imagine command, which is the main way to communicate with the AI and request images. To use this command, simply type "/imagine" in the chat box at the bottom of the screen, followed by a prompt for what kind of image you want.

For example:

/imagine a blue dragon flying over a mountain

/imagine a sunset over Paris

/imagine an alien spaceship landing on Earth

You can use any words or phrases that describe your desired image. The more specific and detailed you are, the better results you will get. However, don't be afraid to experiment and try different combinations of words. You might be surprised by what AI can come up with!

Step 4: Wait for the AI to Generate Images

The fourth step is to wait for about 60 seconds for the AI to generate images based on your prompt. You will see a loading message in the chat while this happens.

Once it's done, you will see four images appear in the chat window. These are different variations of your prompt that the AI has created. You can click on each image to enlarge it and see more details.

You can also react with emojis below each image to give the AI and other users feedback. For example:

👍 means that you like it

❤️ means that you love it

😮 means that it's amazing

😂 means that it's funny

🤔 means that it's confusing

👎 means that you don't like it

Step 5: Enjoy Your Images!

The final step is to enjoy your images and share them with others if you want. You can download them by right-clicking on them and choosing "Save Image As". You can also edit them using any photo editing software or app if you want.

You can also share your images with other users in different channels on Discord such as #showcase (for showing off your best creations), #feedback (for getting constructive criticism), #collaborations (for working together with other users), #challenges (for participating in fun contests), #requests (for asking for help or suggestions), etc.

You can also share your images outside of Discord using social media platforms such as Twitter or Instagram using hashtags such as #midjourney or #midjart.

That's it! You have learned how to use Midjourney to create amazing AI art in five easy steps. Now go ahead and try it yourself! Have fun and be creative!

Teaching People How to Think: The First Key to Influence

Influence is a powerful tool that can be used to shape the thoughts and actions of others. However, it’s important to use this tool responsibly and ethically. One way to do this is by focusing on teaching others how to think.

When you approach a situation or opportunity with the goal of shaping other people’s thoughts, it’s important to do so in a way that isn’t manipulative. Instead of controlling their thoughts, focus on guiding them toward a new perspective.

One effective way to do this is by asking great questions. Questions like “Think of it this way…”, “What do you think about…”, “What would happen if we tried…” and “What is the best way to think about this…” can help guide others towards new ways of thinking.

By constantly strategizing how you want people to be thinking and using these key techniques, you can start practicing your influence responsibly and ethically. Remember, a lot of your power comes from asking great questions that lead to influence.

So next time you find yourself in a situation where you want to influence others, focus on teaching them how to think. This will not only help them see things from a new perspective but also empower them to make their own decisions.
